Hyloxalus azureiventris

Species Overview

Hyloxalus azureiventris — known as the sky blue dart frog. They are slender medium sized dart frogs which do great in groups. One of the best group canidate frogs. These frogs have strong back legs and can jump far so they are best housed in tanks at least 24 inches wide.

Why is azureiventris rated intermediate?

Azureventris need larger tanks and can be more flightly than other frogs. Overall even though they are classified as intermediate they can still be suitable for first or second dart frogs as long as there is species specific research(as well as basic dart frog care requirements).
