Froglet Care
Care guide for newly metamorphosed dart frog froglets.
Froglet Housing
House froglets in small containers (6×6×6 inches minimum) with moist paper towel or sphagnum moss substrate and a piece of cork bark for hiding. Maintain high humidity (80–90%) with daily misting.
Feeding Froglets
Offer melanogaster fruit flies daily, dusted with calcium at every feeding. Froglets have high metabolisms and need frequent meals. Ensure prey is appropriately sized — no larger than the frog's head.
Growth Milestones
Froglets grow quickly with consistent feeding. At 2–3 months post-metamorphosis, they can move to a larger grow-out enclosure. Full adult coloration may take 6–12 months depending on species.
FAQ
